The Mountain Eagle (1926)
Strangely enough, Hitchcock’s second assignment as a director was for a story about Kentucky hillbillies. It follows a young woman as she flees from a romantically charged man into the woods and meets a backwoods hillbilly that she eventually marries. Literally zero prints of this movie exist anymore; a fact that never bothered Hitchcock as he viewed it as a poor film. The film was released in the United States under the title Fear o’ God.
